Scarf details

The Pompeya scarf belongs to the Fluid Art collection.

The original design has been handmade on paper by the artist using the Fluid Art or Alcohol Ink technique.

This technique consists of using alcohol-based inks to play with the fluidity and colours of the pigments to create compositions full of colour and nuances. The artist makes use of different tools to guide the inks according to his will, but it ends up being a mixture of the artist’s desire with the actual making of the inks on the paper.

Thanks to a process of digitalization and high definition printing, the scarf is full of details.

As you can see in the photos, the silk used in this scarf, Twill silk, has the characteristic of presenting the design on the inner side full of colour, while the back side shows a beautiful version of the scarf in pastel tones.

Twill Silk

We have selected Twill silk for this collection of scarves.

Considered to be the highest quality silk, it is a very soft, high lustre and dense type of silk.

The colours of the design are vibrant on the front side of the scarf and pastel on the back side.

Fluid Art

The scarves in the fluid art collection are created by Yamila Jiménez. A self-taught artist, based in Barcelona.

Through her curiosity, her ingenuity and the need to express herself creatively, Yamila is inspired by the beauty of the world around her, to create unique designs. Flowers, nature, the colours of the sky, are her greatest and best source of creativity.

The beauty of fluid art is like the beauty of life itself. The colour pigments are intentionally moved by the artist across the surface of the handkerchief using different techniques. But the random element is always present in this kind of compositions, where the pigments combine freely, creating beautiful colour mixtures and unique abstract designs.

Yamila creates timeless scarves, which remind us that in this life, you can't control everything. Chance takes centre stage, and becomes that magical ingredient, to create a unique, exclusive piece that exudes beauty.
